2015 Meeting report

The inaugural International Meeting on Ultrasound for Diving Research (Ultrasound 2015) took place at DNC, Karlskrona, Sweden, on the 25th and 26th of August 2015.

Several noted speakers took part including Alf Brubakk, Ron Nishi, Neal Pollock, David Doolette, Mikael Gennser, Peter Wilmshurst and Peter Germonpre, with 27 delegates from across the globe in attendance.

A full didactic program included historical, theoretical and hands on sessions, as well as a consensus discussion on the standardisation of measurement protocols at the end of day two. The social program was well received, with a fun BBQ at DNC on day one and a lovely dinner at the Marine Museum to round off the meeting and say good bye to Karlskrona on day two.

Delegates will receive pdf copies of the speakers' lectures in due course, as well as an e-book detailing the discussions.

The consensus recommendations are likely to be published in the December edition of Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine.
