11am - Session 3 - Ron Nishi

Ultrasound technicalities - how Doppler and 2D ultrasound function. The benefits and drawbacks of the the techniques.

Discussion on morning sessions.

Divers will be exposed to 'bubble forming' air profiles in the DNC chamber. Post-decompression, bubbles will be monitored with Doppler and 2D equipment; delegates will be encouraged to have a go.

15:45 - Session 6 - Merging with the practical session - Ron Nishi, Lesley Blogg and Andreas Mollerlokken will speak on the necessity for comprehensive and regular monitoring to gain meaningful data. Discussion on how delegates handle methodology. Focus on the handling of data - the need for non-parametric treatment and the dangers of transforming data from one grading system to another.
